Our Story
At Datatech Solutions, we believe IT should be a foundation for growth, not a source of frustration. From our Burswood office, we’ve spent two decades securing and scaling WA organisations.
Datatech Solutions was founded in 2006 to help small and medium enterprises get control of their technology infrastructure and data. Back then, many of our customers were running everything from standalone PCs, sharing files via thumb drives or improvised network shares — we even had a few still limping along on dial-up internet.
Our earliest projects focused on consolidating file storage and email onto on-premise servers so teams could finally work from a central, consistent set of documents and systems. Most businesses were living inside the classic Microsoft Office trio — Word, Excel and PowerPoint — and entire operations revolved around those three tools.
As VoiP matured, we guided customers away from inflexible and expensive PABX systems onto modern VoiP platforms that delivered lower costs, more flexibility and faster support. At the same time we helped them move to fast broadband services, transforming both reliability and speed.
We made sure their data was backed up across a range of on-premise storage systems — often with a lot of manual effort behind the scenes — and we wrapped everything we could in up-to-date antivirus and basic security controls. For many customers, it felt like the lights came on: systems ran faster, file versions stopped going missing, and teams could finally rely on their technology.
To those early customers, we were the rock stars in the server room — the people who quietly made things work that they didn’t even know were possible.
Nearly two decades of helping WA businesses modernise — from cables and racks through to cloud, automation and cybersecurity, from our headquarters on Goodwood Parade in Burswood, we've grown to support over 100 organisations across Western Australia.
2006
Our story starts with physical infrastructure — servers in cupboards, patch panels, cabling and basic networks. The goal was simple: help businesses centralise files, email and printers, and stop everything grinding to a halt.
Late 2000s
As VoiP took off, we helped customers escape rigid PABX contracts and unreliable connections. We rolled out business-grade broadband and modern voice services, unlocking new flexibility, cost savings and better customer experiences.
2010s
Email and collaboration moved from server rooms into the cloud. We guided customers through migrations to Microsoft 365 and other cloud platforms, modernising how teams stored, shared and protected their data while keeping day-to-day operations running.
Today
Today, Datatech Solutions is a fully-fledged managed service provider. We combine proactive support, 24/7 monitoring, cybersecurity, cloud platforms and integrated solutions like CCTV, access control, Wi-Fi and unified communications — all delivered with a practical, business-first mindset.
The tools have evolved, but our role is still the same: make technology invisible so you can get on with running your business.
We translate the acronyms, design the right mix of on-prem and cloud, keep an eye on security and performance, and make sure your people have a friendly, local team they can call when something doesn’t work as it should.
